Michigan Poetry Club is very excited to launch in fall 2024. This club is super chill, fun, and relaxing and will provide you with a space and community of people who love poetry. There are three aspects to this club that we are hoping to include: MeetingsWe will meet 4 times a semester. During meetings, we will have the opportunity to share poetry, learn about poetry, and practice writing poetry. There will be snacks and music. This is a time to relax and decompress through the use of poetry.Our first meeting is 11/3/2024 at 2pm in Mason Hall, room 3411 EventsWe will host one event per semester where we can raise funds (if wanted). Read more about our ideas on our website! Community OutreachWe also organize poetry readings and workshops in local Ann Arbor elementary schools. Our goal is to promote the art of poetry and inspire the next generation of poets. An elementary Open Mic day is one of our potential ideas.
