The One Health Student Consortium (OHSC) is a student-run organization that spans across several graduate schools here at the University of Michigan, including the School of Medicine, School of Public Health (SPH), and the School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS). "One Health” is an approach to health that aims to integrate the health of people, animals, and the environment, in order to tackle complex health issues both locally and globally. This is especially relevant to….Antibiotic resistanceDiseases that might cause the next global pandemicZoonotic diseasesMosquito-borne diseasesClimate change’s impacts on healthMental healthAnd more…We are hoping that OHSC will bring together students across different disciplines in order to foster genuine interdisciplinary conversations and collaboration. OHSC will be organized into three committees focused on different types of projects: Advocacy Committee, Research Committee, and Outreach Committee.
