Opportunities to Educate Children is a nonprofit student organization, founded in 2006 by students at the University of Michigan who believe that every child has the right to an education. OEC strives to promote and provide access to education for children locally by means of weekly tutoring and mentoring. OEC provides members with a chance to participate in community service and leadership. OEC partners with community centers, schools, and hospitals to develop effective tutoring programs.
