The Beta Upsilon Chapter of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has the objective to create a lighthearted yet professional environment for men across the masculinity spectrum who are interested in Latin America. The BY chapter achieves this by cultivating spaces that allow for conversations around masculinity. During these talks, we come face to face with ourselves and our members to break down the toxic traits we internalized. We practice patience, communication, and respect with one another to provide a space where honest mistakes turn into learning experiences.The goal is to have these well-rounded and motivated members produce unique events that support the community in new and innovative ways. The members accomplish this by allowing their personal interests to integrate into the events. This allows each member’s personality and passion to shine through their hard work.
