An Anesthesiologist Assistant or AA works in an Anesthesia Care Team and provides anesthesia under the supervision of a licensed anesthesiologist. The care team may also consist of CRNAs or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, in which they share a similar role to AAs and assist physician anesthesiologists. Anesthesiologist Assistants have a master's level education, meaning they go to graduate school for 2-3 years following undergrad.
