An Anesthesiologist Assistant or AA works in an Anesthesia Care Team and provides anesthesia under the supervision of a licensed anesthesiologist. The care team may also consist of CRNAs or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, in which they share a similar role to AAs and assist physician anesthesiologists.
