PHSAD strives to create an atmosphere wherein academic and professional excellence can coincide with the interests of populations of African descent. We strive to disseminate and exchange information and concerns of marginalized groups in the field of Public Health and to serve as a network and support system for educational and professional purposes. In addition, we aim to disseminate knowledge to the southeast Michigan community and support the community through philanthropic endeavors and service.
