Cancer treatment is costly, and not all insurances are made equal. This means that many cancer patients cannot afford their treatment, and are left with an uphill, financial battle. According to a Survivor Views survey from ACS CAN, 61% of cancer patients and survivors found it difficult to afford their care. Affordability is a real issue for many cancer patients in Metro Detroit, where roughly 30% of people live in poverty, as reported by the University of Michigan. We do our best to alleviate financial stress for cancer patients who need it most.
