Political & Advocacy
Roundtable is a political club that welcomes students to explore and debate core American political questions in an open-minded, nonpartisan environment. Students with minimal past political engagement are encouraged to join, as are students with pre-developed beliefs who are willing to challenge and qualify their own views with evidence. Every month, we focus on a new topic (i.e. affirmative action, policing) and engage with relevant arguments from across the political spectrum through scholarly studies, interviews, essays, and debates. Club members will then engage in both personal reflection and group discussion to further develop their own views on the topic. The third meeting of every month will be different every month, but will generally focus on learning more about political polarization or a guest speaker.
