SafeMD is established to promote an environment in which sexual assault is illuminated, understood, not tolerated and actively combated; in which survivors of sexual assault have access to and are aware of supportive resources; and in which future medical professionals become proficient at handling patients involved in sexual assault with nuance, skill, and care. This environment will be actively fostered by students, faculty, and administration.
