The Sierra Club is one of the most impactful grassroots environmental organizations in the United States. Nationwide, 3.8 million members and supporters are working together to enforce an influential environmental movement. The Sierra Club at the University of Michigan allows U-M students to become involved with this national organization by engaging them with its current sustainability initiatives and environmental political engagement actions, both locally and nationally. In addition to these involvements, the club maintains a welcoming community through a variety of outdoor activities, social events, and bi-weekly meetings. Meetings mostly consist of discussions on climate, sustainability, environmental politics, and activism, though may feature activities like screen printing, potting, or more!
