All current Sociology graduate students and dual Sociology students with Women's Studies, Social Work and Public Policy are automatically members of the organization. Co-chairs are elected yearly for this organization. The goal of SGS is to foster collegiality and support among the graduate student population as well as between faculty and graduate students in order to support research, healthy living, and successful completion of the PhD in Sociology and dual Sociology programs here at Michigan.
