SAS educates the public and student body about astronomy, connecting students of all majors with the community through bi-weekly meetings and exciting outreach opportunities. Bi-weekly observing nights in Angel Hall are held in collaboration with the Astronomy Department and provide a great opportunity for members to take on leadership and interact with the community. SAS welcomes individuals from all majors and backgrounds, and the only requirement for membership is an interest in astronomy. We additionally provide academic and professional opportunities for astronomy undergraduates through workshops, research presentations, and community building.
