The Navigators is an international, non-denominational Christian ministry that was started in the 1930's among US servicemen. Just as the goal was to help servicemen grow in their faith while they were away from traditional opportunities for church, so our goal is to help students grow in their faith while in college. 85% of students who grew up attending a church do not continue to do so in college. Some don't have the time, others aren't quite sure if they still believe what they grew up believing. For most, it's more of an "out of sight, out of mind" issue as church doesn't fit into the natural circles in which they run in college. Whatever the reason, we provide a safe environment for students to explore faith, ask the tough questions about life regardless of their spiritual background and to do so with a group of peers. We offer Bible studies and faith discussion groups that are easily accessible to where students live, work, and play so they can explore their faith without having to leave their comfort zone.
