Founded in 2019, Theta Capital is a highly selective public markets investing and trading organization at the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Theta Capital is built upon active traders and investors. It is the place to be for those with a deep passion for the stock market.Theta Capital models itself after an investment fund, allowing new analysts to learn from experienced traders. Analysts are immersed in a collaborative environment, helping them become more acclimated to financial markets. Daily market discussion and debate are core to our strategy. We cultivate an environment where ideas and theses can be shared and refined. We give analysts a very unique perspective on the stock market. Useful real-life investing & trading skills are built here.Theta capital is unique in that we focus on a mix of long/short equity, bonds, and derivatives. We provide an experience similar to what it is like working at an investment fund.There are also resources provided for members to go directly into buy-side investment positions out of undergrad.
