The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) works in 190 countries and territories to save children's lives, defend their rights, and help them fulfill their potential from early childhood through adolescence. The UNICEF Campus Initiative at the University of Michigan plays a powerful role in this mission. As one of more than 600 active Campus Initiative Clubs around the country, members of the UNICEF chapter at the University of Michigan strive to educate, advocate and fundraise on behalf of UNICEF to reach zero preventable deaths.
