University of Michigan Gilbert and Sullivan Society
Arts
The University of Michigan Gilbert and Sullivan Society (UMGASS) is delighted to welcome members from the University and from the larger Ann Arbor area to join our cast or crew, or to serve in directorial or production staff positions. As the oldest student-run society dedicated to producing the works of William Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan in the country, UMGASS has presented various operettas from the Gilbert and Sullivan canon for decades. We produce two shows per year: one in the fall semester and one in the winter semester. Both take place in the beautiful Lydia Mendelssohn theater, with full staging and orchestration. If you’re interested in joining us, stop by one of our mass meetings (held at the beginning of each semester), check out umgass.org, or reach out to us at umgassexec@umich.edu.
