WolvSec is a cybersecurity/hacking club at the University of Michigan. We host weekly public meetings and events where we discuss current topics, teach foundational skills, share knowledge, and work on various security projects. Our diverse membership includes undergrads, graduate students, alumni, university staff, and local industry professionals, all dedicated to creating a fun, friendly, and collaborative learning environment for cybersecurity. A pivotal approach to learning and skill development within our club involves participating in capture-the-flag (CTF) competitions. CTFs are akin to computer security wargames, where each participating team competes to find flags (unique strings) by solving challenges. These challenges span a multitude of security areas, including web hacking, reverse engineering, binary exploitation, computer forensics, cryptography, and more.
