The Women Law Students Association envisions a Law School community in which every woman and non-binary person is an equal member of Michigan Law School academically and socially. Our organization advocates for students to meet and see positive non-binary and female role models in the legal profession on a daily basis, offering professional development and networking opportunities. Members of WLSA at Michigan Law School are prepared to assume any leadership role in society to further achieve their visions of success. Additionally, WLSA educates the law school community on legal issues facing women and non-binary people throughout society including sex discrimination, employment, health, education, violence, and access to resources. WLSA is open to all gender identities and is committed to creating a law school community centered on the pillars of Leadership, Mentorship, Community, and Equitability. The University of Michigan is committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all persons and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, religion, height, weight, or veteran status in employment, educational programs and activities, and admissions.
