The CEPAR Preparedness Ambassador Program is designed to engage Emory students in campus preparedness. Preparedness Ambassadors act as an extension of the Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response. Students selected to become an ambassador will attend monthly meetings where they will learn about campus emergency procedures, undergo training and certifications such as CPR, bleeding control, fire safety, and more. They will engage with their community through planning and participating in campus events, community training, and disseminating safety/preparedness information. Ambassadors are chosen through a selective process which includes an application and interview process. They must commit to being an ambassador for at least one (1) academic year. The CEPAR Ambassadors is one of many new programs under the “Emory READY” initiative designed to promote preparedness and strengthen resiliency. By mobilizing the student body to become involved in campus safety, we hope that the Emory community will become more prepared and resilient in the event of an emergency.
