The Christian Legal Society of Emory University seeks to proclaim Jesus as Lord through all that we do in the field of law and other disciplines as well; to provide a means of society, fellowship and nurture among Christian law students and lawyers; to provide a forum for the discussion of problems relating to Christianity and the law; and to encourage community service and pro bono opportunities. The Christian Legal Society strives to serve as a moral support group for the Emory Law School. It offers law students a place to distance themselves from the pressures of legal education. It offers support and encouragement for students who become discouraged while offering a nonlegal avenue for students to voice their concerns and ideas. Weekly meetings will entail discussions and Scripture studies. Students gain advice on how to live according to Scripture even in law school and the legal profession. Advice is also given regarding the day-to-day life in the law school, including advice on classes, professors, exams, and jobs. The Christian Legal Society is open to all law school students and welcomes members of other religious groups.
