Our goal is to increase college students' awareness, especially at Emory, about the inequalities in rural healthcare and its advantages. We strive to obtain this goal by bringing in leading healthcare professionals in rural Georgia and throughout the United States to share their experiences. Our long-term goal is to provide opportunities for students to gain rural healthcare exposure through internships, volunteering, clinical experience, and shadowing. Our executive board comprises college students with close mentorship and guidance from the Georgia State Office of Rural Health to cultivate the next generation of rural health professionals.
