The purpose of the Emory Coaching Corps (ECC) is to recruit and train passionate, selfless Emory students who will dedicate one or two hours per week to teaching and coaching the children of the Samuel B. Jones Boys and Girls Club and the International Community School in various sports and activities.
ECC aims to ensure all children in the Samuel B. Jones Boys and Girls Club and the International Community School have an opportunity to reap the social, educational, and physical benefits of sports, no matter their socioeconomic standing. It also seeks to develop a reciprocal long-standing relationship with the Samuel B. Jones Boys and Girls Club and the International Community School by bringing the children of each school to Emory sporting events and university tours.
ECC aims to not only provide role models and mentors for the children of the Samuel B. Jones Boys and Girls Club and the International Community School, it also seeks to give Emory students an opportunity to make an impact in the local Atlanta community outside the grounds of Emory.
