The purpose of the Emory Composers' Society (ECS) is to promote the appreciation and creation of new music, which includes but is not limited to classical, jazz, experimental, electronic, pop, mixed media, etc. It will serve as a space for music creators of all disciplines to exchange ideas, learn, and discuss current issues in music. We run events for composers, producers, and musicians with an interest in music production, composition, theory, and history.
Examples of past and future events include workshops on music production and composition, discussions on topics such as diversity, culture, and music, and concerts showcasing member work. We welcome anyone with an interest in music creation!
