Built on the values of compassion, integrity, and respect, RAM's mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free quality healthcare to those in need. They go across the country, partnering with rural communities in need to host free pop-up health clinics. Our chapter worked to attain the resources, connections, and manpower necessary to help set up and run our very own clinic in Louisville, Georgia in September 2021. This clinic provided a value of over $120,000 in medical care to 220 patients in a medically underserved community. We hosted our second clinic in Louisville, Georgia in September 2023 where we served 189 patients and provided over $80,000 in free healthcare. Additionally, we give Emory University students the chance to participate in Remote Area Medical (RAM) clinics focused on providing free services to those in qualified underserved areas. Finally, we aim to promote quality healthcare both locally and nationally to the fullest of our abilities.
