We want to create a space for all students interested in urban studies to gather, each bringing their individual perspectives and strengths. Our core values are clear: to discuss, debate, and educate fellow students about the philosophies of New Urbanism, in turn empowering them to make positive change in places important to them.We are looking for students who are excited to learn more about urban planning or who have a passion and want to help educate others! Through our educational (and hopefully fun!) meetings, students will learn relevant history and vocabulary of New Urbanism, allowing them to engage meaningfully in conversations about urban issues. These meetings will occur monthly and will be open to anyone wanting to drop in!As the club grows, we hope to host a variety of events, including modeling workshops, film screenings, speakers, discussions, and trips into Atlanta! At the core, we want our club to be a friendly, social environment where students can come to learn and discuss in a welcoming and low-stakes setting.
