The goal of the Emory Ultrasound Studnet Intrest Group (EUSIG) is to provide students a more extensive education on how to use ultrasound and interpret its results. We hope that this education serves Emory’s medical students in both their training and their careers. Given its increasing utilization at the bedside across multiple specialities, we believe students will find great benefit in a thorough exposure to ultrasound during medical school. We plan to offer hands on skills clinics and talks with faculty who are experienced at using ultrasound We also hope to advocate for a greater incorporation of ultrasound skills training into Emory’s pre-clinical years and expose students to ways in which ultrasound can be made accessible to health care centers in low resource settings.
