Emory Undergraduate Medical Review
Academic
The Emory Undergraduate Medical Review (EUMR) is Emory's premier undergraduate medical publication. Our journal publishes student-authored research review articles at the intersection of cutting-edge medicine and the sciences. Our interdisciplinary articles span all clinical fields and cover a range of topics including novel drug research, healthcare policy, and medical ethics, and are peer-reviewed by medical professionals from leading academic institutions, including Emory University, Cornell University, and Harvard University. Students may apply to join our organization as a member of our writing staff as vacancies open, and freshmen may also apply for the position of freshman liaison. A rolling process will be used to fill the vacancies and members will be contacted intermittently if accepted. Writing staff members are expected to write articles for the journal that is published semesterly. These articles are reviewed by a member of our Advisory Board (AB) of medical professionals. On campus, EUMR hosts a variety of medically-related events, including frequent collaborations with Emory’s School of Medicine. Our projects have been featured by Emory’s News Center and have caught the attention of President Greg Fenves. Please contact Zach Paikin (zachary.paikin@emory.edu) or Emma Kingwell (emma.kingwell@emory.edu) if you have further questions.
