The Emory University Community Emergency Response Team program educates and trains members of the Emory community in preparedness and basic disaster response skills.
CERT participants will engage in a structured, in-person training where they will learn about preparedness and gain skills in basic disaster response such as fire safety, light search and rescue, stop the bleed and more. The training concludes with a final exercise where program participants demonstrate their skills in a simulated environment.
Successful completion of this training program allows an individual to join Emory University's Community Emergency Response Team (EUV CERT) where they will have the opportunity to further their training and participation in campus community preparedness/response.
Further information regarding the first cohort program schedule is forthcoming. If you're interested in CERT, please complete the CERT interest form. Once details have been finalized, CERT program leadership will reach out to interested individuals regarding program specifics.
Additional details will also be posted to the Hub and on the Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response's website.
More information on the national CERT program can be found here.
