The purpose of this organization is to cultivate a community of graduate student researchers at Emory University that support the advancement of women in neuroscience. To accomplish this, our aim is two-fold: 1) we aim to support women-identified graduate level researchers interested in neuroscience at Emory University by hosting speakers, panel discussions, networking events, and social events, 2) we aim to cultivate a community that will assist our members throughout their time at Emory University and beyond, as they pursue their career aspirations. As such, our mission is to support students as they deal with issues relevant to women in neuroscience, such as career advancement, balancing work and family commitments, discrimination in the work place, and sexism.
