OLA aims to share knowledge about Latinx culture and history. We recognize that Latin America and the Caribbean are home to many groups, including marginalized groups, and aim to always be open to educating ourselves and others on how those groups have been excluded to foster a more open and accepting community at Oxford and in the greater Latinx community as a whole. We aim to enrich the community through our efforts as leaders and role models on campus. We aim to collaborate with other groups to foster conversations on the complexity of the people of Latin America and the Caribbean. Several events such as dances, movies, meetings, and other methods will be used to carry this mission across.
