Ox Global Health Association (GHA) aims to connect students interested in a career in global health with opportunities and professionals currently working within the expansive realm of global health. GHA seeks to create a network of partnerships between students, researchers, and organizations performing health and development work in third-world countries and the Emory and Oxford community. Additionally, it will permit individuals to take action towards solving the issues presented while raising awareness about them on Oxford’s campus. Oxford's Global Health Association aims to enrich the community by providing a bridge to fill the gap between the disconnect of Emory’s Atlanta and Oxford campuses by working closely with the Atlanta branch to raise awareness and equity about global health issues including bringing third-world countries together. We strive to help both communities understand the hardships and struggles many individuals in poverty face in Guatemala and other third-world countries.
