The Society of Physics Students (SPS) is a professional organization designed specifically for students and dedicated to fostering a community among students interested in physics and serving as a liaison to the greater Emory Physics Community. We host professional development events, such as panel discussions about graduate school and careers in science, community outreach events, such as Physics Live!, and fun social events such as planetarium movie nights. Membership is open to anyone interested in physics, engineering, or science in general, regardless of major. SPS provides an excellent forum for learning about research opportunities in a variety of fields as well as broader topics, and we often incorporate self-built demonstrations of interesting physics concepts into our events.
