As an Oxford College student organization, STEMinists serves Oxford STEM students to promote gender equality within STEM. We believe that equality in the STEM field includes ALL people in the discussion, no matter the gender or background they identify with. We aim to empower all. We aim to include all in the conversation.
STEMinists provides the resources for all to succeed and a space for students to discuss and raise awareness of different social injustices that are present in the STEM field.
We are involved with
- volunteering in schools around the surrounding Covington community
- organization campus-wide discussions, guest-speaker events, and panels
- promoting and assisting in finding research opportunities
