Our mission is to engage kindergarten through high-school students in hands-on projects that tackle pressing local issues, such as improving public transportation systems, enhancing urban green spaces, and establishing public use spaces. By providing students with STEM skills that they can use to make a tangible change to the world with, we empower them to innovate solutions to pressing global challenges, from healthcare advancements to environmental sustainability.
Besides participating in monthly community projects, STEMPath provides STEM mentoring to primary and secondary schools throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area aimed to prepare students with thorough knowledge for each monthly project. Through collaborating with community organizations and local schools and governments, we aim to create sustainable, impactful change while providing students with real-world problem-solving experience.
To engage and identify local community issues and to develop monthly curricula, STEMPath will hold weekly meetings for Instructional Leads & Assistants and monthly general body meetings.
