As a student organization, we will work to educate and bring awareness to harm reduction and prevent/intervene in drug overdose. Specifically, we 1) educate and train individuals on how and when to intervene during a suspected overdose, 2) provide and make available resources to prevent overdose-related deaths, 3) provide outreach education for at-risk populations via in-person education and resource distribution, 4) in alignment with the mission of EndOverdose Boston (EOB), we will prioritize outreach to nightlife, music, and/or LGBTQ+ spheres, and 5) work to de-stigmatize the conversation surrounding mental health, addiction, and overdose. Our purpose is to empower all individuals to be able to engage in conversations surrounding overdose and drug usage to gain the necessary knowledge and resources to prevent and respond to overdoses.
