Berkeley Forum
Career Development & Networking
Founded in 2012, the Berkeley Forum is a non-partisan, diverse, and accessible forum dedicated to hosting free events with distinguished speakers. Forum events are open to both students and the wider Berkeley community. Some past speakers include infectious diseases expert Dr. Anthony Fauci, basketball star Jaylen Brown, iconic author Daniel Handler, AKA Lemony Snicket, and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Carla Morrison.

The Berkeley Forum provides students with unique hands-on experience and a channel to explore the ideas that they are passionate about. Forum is entirely run by undergraduates dedicated to connecting students with icons and leading experts from all around the world. From inviting speakers to advertising the event, Forum members commit hundreds of hours to every step of the event-planning process.

From a social perspective, members of the Berkeley Forum are motivated, intellectually curious students from a diverse range of backgrounds. Forum cultivates a vibrant, tight-knit community that is so much more than just academics. Forum members strive to make close friendships with each other while working towards a goal to inspire the wider campus community.

For those interested in joining our community, we open for recruitment in both the fall and spring semesters. Regardless of membership status, all events are free to attend. Additionally, we teach the undergraduate-led DeCal “History of Free Speech at Berkeley,” which is available to all students. Keep in touch through our Instagram, @berkeleyforum for more information.
