Sunrise NEU is Northeastern's hub of the Sunrise Movement, a national youth-led climate justice organization. We work towards climate justice within our institution and surrounding communities through multiple facets, including research (primarily focused on developing a Green New Deal for Northeastern) education (providing a welcoming space for new members to learn about climate justice and get involved), and organizing with other social-justice clubs and communities (such as collaborating with the Social Justice Resource Center, being part of Huskies Organizing With Labor (HOWL), Supporting YDSA, PSA, and supporting Northeastern Divestment, a campaign fighting for fossil fuel divestment at the university.) We are striving to make Northeastern a more just place that prioritizes its environment and communities.
