The Chaldean community is a very tight knit community in the greater Detroit area. Before establishing roots in the US, we were an ethnic group living in northern Iraq, forced to flee from religious and political persecution. Through CAMSA, we hope to help advance our people’s education through academic, spiritual, and emotional support. We also aim for community outreach in our underserved populations. Some of our activities include meeting with Chaldean medical professionals, working with college and high school students interested in medicine, volunteering in the community, providing guidance to first year students, and most importantly, supporting each other.
