The Student American Academy of Osteopathy (SAAO) is an osteopathic medical society with the focus on education. We teach, advocate, and research the science, art, and philosophy of osteopathic medicine with emphasis on integration of principles, practices, and manipulative treatments in patient care. In addition to our main focus, we encourage integrative health by providing a weekly walk/run for students as well as encouraging student participation in local running races. We also increase Osteopathic research awareness through an Osteopathic principles and practice and Osteopathic manipulative medicine journal club.
