The CDA educates law students on the criminal legal system in America, helps develop trial and appellate defense skills, provides networking opportunities to assist law students in securing internships, externships, post-graduate employment and the like. The CDA was founded on the fact that prosecution and defense are not two sides of the same coin. They are two different coins. Defense often begins with a penny while prosecutors begin with a quarter.
