Berkeley Journal of Gender, Law & Justice
Publication & Media
BGLJ’s primary activity during the school year is to publish one annual volume of intersectional feminist legal scholarship. This process includes selection of scholarship through a consensus-inspired process of voting by our membership, and through the multi-phase editorial process. Members meet on a bi-weekly basis to discuss the merits of proposed academic articles.

In addition to the publication of our journal, we sponsor and co-sponsor events relating to the editorial mandate of our journal such as our own annual symposium and other co-sponsored symposia, lectures, and discussions. This year we also plan to host more social events related to gender’s intersection with other axes of subordination such as race, class, sexual orientation, and disability.

Since we also act as a source of community and belonging for members, we also provide a number of supportive programs and services particularly for our members, such as an outline bank, a library of study aids, office resources, membership mentoring, and alumni networking.
