E.P.I.C. is focused on emphasizing the importance of emergency preparedness for disasters that future veterinary professionals may encounter in the geographical areas that they choose to continue their careers. This organization aims to provide information on how veterinarians can help their communities in an emergency, coordinating relief with various government organizations, informing communities of supplies and best practices in evacuations for their animals, as well as the skills necessary to manage patients, teams, and clients to minimize the impact of disasters on their communities.
