The Society is founded on the principles that the state exists to preserve rule of law, protect individual freedom, that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution, and that it is province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be.Our members hold diverse and often conflicting views on a broad range of issues. Membership is open to anyone who wants to join.We exist solely to promote the exchange of ideas, not to promote particular policies, appointments, or politicians. We do not adopt political stances or advocate for political outcomes. We do not lobby for legislation. We do not sponsor, nor do we endorse nominees or candidates.
