MSU Jawani is Michigan State's premiere competitive bhangra club. Currently, MSU Jawani is ranked as the number one all-collegiate bhangra team in the United States after winning the Collegiate Bhangra Championship. As a club, we strive to encourage our undergraduate MSU population to participate, appreciate, and improve in the art of Bhangra. As a competitive bhangra team, MSU Jawani emphasizes the development of many skills through dance. In the 2023-2024 competitive seasons, MSU Jawani will be competing at the Buckeye Mela hosted by Ohio State University, the Nachde Nashville Bhangra Competition hosted by Vanderbilt University, and the Bhangra Blowout hosted by George Washington University.To join, tryouts will be held at the beginning of both the fall and spring semesters.
