(new, experienced, from different styles)The club consists of structured classes each Tuesday and Thursday lead by our instructors, along with an open practice on Fridays. Classes begin with a group warm up, with the rest of class being devoted to karate. The classes are well balanced between learning/reviewing techniques, forms, and sparring. Beyond classes, we also compete in optional tournaments. How do I join?Just wear athletic clothing and show up! We accept students of all experience levels, whether you are a black belt in another style, or have no experience at all (like most of us did when starting). Experienced students from different styles may wear their Gi. The club teaches Pukang Tang Soo Do (Northern Diamond Chinese Fist Way), a Chinese variant of a Korean style of martial arts. Tang Soo Do emphasizes both hand and foot techniques, focusing on mastery of the body and mind. This enables the student to implement this knowledge both inside and outside of the dojo.
