Michigan State University Neuroscience Club is a student-run organization that is dedicated to promoting an inclusive community for students of all undergraduate degree majors who are interested in neuroscience. Our club offers a variety of events and activities throughout the academic year that are designed to provide members with opportunities to learn about the latest research in the field, participate in research labs, network with faculty and peers, explore career possibilities, and more.At our regular bi-weekly meetings, we discuss current research that is being conducted by the Neuroscience Faculty, giving members a chance to learn about the latest findings in the field. Our club also provides resources to help members navigate their academic journey. We offer course scheduling advice, academic support, and help with career planning. Members can also participate in a mini-UURAF (University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum), where they can present their research to a wider audience.In addition to our regular meetings, we hold four types of events throughout the academic year: outreach, social, professional development, and fundraising. Our outreach events focus on educating the public about neuroscience and its impact on society. Our social events provide members with opportunities to socialize, network, and build relationships with their peers. Our fundraising events help us raise money to support our activities and programs. Our professional development events help students learn more about how to find research positions, how to edit your resume, and how to connect to other people in the field.We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment that welcomes students from all backgrounds and disciplines, and we are always looking for new members to join us in exploring the fascinating world of neuroscience.
