oSTEM at MSU is a chapter of “Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Inc.” (oSTEM), a 501(c)(3) national non-profit professional association for LGBTQIA2S+ people in STEM. We uphold the oSTEM Vision and Mission: We envision a world where LGBTQ+ people in the STEM community are empowered to achieve success in a safe and supportive environment that celebrates their diversity and unique contributions.oSTEM empowers LGBTQ+ people in STEM to succeed personally, academically, and professionally by cultivating environments and communities that nurture innovation, leadership, and advocacy.We hope to establish a network of connections and support between undergraduate students, graduate students, and MSU faculty working and studying in STEM who are members of the queer and LGBTQIA2S+ community.
