The purpose of the Michigan State chapter of the Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) shall be to acquaint the student with the functions of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), to encourage friendship between the student body and faculty, to broaden the students’ perspective of the veterinary profession and other fields of interest, and to stimulate the development of professional attitudes. Members shall be encouraged to become active citizens in the chapter, community, and nation.Regularly enrolled Michigan State University veterinary students in the College of Veterinary Medicine may become voting members of the Student Chapter by payment of dues and by meeting requirements set forth by the Student Chapter's Executive Board.
