SCNAVTA is Michigan State University's Student Chapter of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA). Formed in East Lansing, MI, NAVTA is dedicated to advancing veterinary nursing with the goal of allowing veterinary technicians to give input on national issues involving the veterinary profession. NAVTA student chapters enable students to experience the responsibilities that come with being a member of a profession along with a professional organization.SCNAVTA membership means being a part of planning activities that promote veterinary nursing, volunteering, holding an elected office, following a constitution and setting a budget, and becoming a leader within the veterinary nursing profession.
