The purpose of this organization will be to bring awareness to modern solutions that combat uncertain and unsustainable procurement and logistics practices. SIC aims to prepare supply chain students, as well as those interested in the field, to have a well-rounded understanding of sustainable practices in their future careers. The group will focus on research, corporate engagement, and consulting projects to promote sustainability in supply chain management. Our focus will lie in reducing environmental impact, ethical sourcing and fair trade, energy efficiency in logistics and transportation, and circular supply chains and waste minimization.
